Setlists have been somewhat underwhelming on this leg, hopefully it's a sign of the rest of the tour for those of us catching some shows.
Kinda reminds me of a "Phish move," you've got a band that's been around forever and every so often they pull out an unusual stunt for a live show since the catalog is so deep at this point.

Let's not question the "why" and just revel in the fact that they played arguably their best album live for the first time and it's def a nod to the super fans out there. Love it.

I'm wondering if that is the guitar that Ed wanted for those songs. He had the 1/2 Full guitar and was shining the crowd during RM.

Amazing show! Once Who You Are was played, I figured something was going on. I was actually a little disappointed they played Sometimes at first, since they just played it last week in Lincoln, but that feeling quickly went away. :D

I could tell the casual fans were getting a bit bored as they started going for beers/pisses during Off He Goes. Usually in a "normal" show things are hitting a fever pitch by the 7th song. It wasn't a mass exodus or anything but you could tell they wanted to hear Jeremy and Daughter. Oh and I know that because I heard some idiots yell for those songs.

The band is playing really well on this tour and Ed's voice seems to be holding up nicely. He didn't crack on RM, Infallible, or even In Hiding which have been tough ones for him lately. Maybe he's lightening up on the American Spirits?

I was stoked to hear In Hiding for the first time since 05 and only second time overall. I saw it written with the chords on someone's music stand on the video screen during Imagine and I freaked!

It was just an incredible night and a great way for PJ to show appreciation to their fans and try something out of the box. Still processing all of this, but I think it was the best show I've seen!

Here's the new song, "Moline". This is just the song itself, including neither Ed's dialogue prior to the song, nor the false start. Again, no level adjustments, etc. have been made yet.

I was really impressed with the big screens. High def now and tons of cool camera angles edited so it looks like a DVD release but live.

I wonder if this was performed for the upcoming No Code reissue? Bonus disc material?

this is pretty interesting to me. i figured he would have said something like a friend requested it, or the band had been throwing the idea around and wanted to finally try it. doing it just for fun is pretty awesome, and obviously they figured it would be we received in a smaller venue.

im sure it was a treat for whoever was there. glad you had fun!

but lets list the other 50 bands we'd rather see than pearl jam lol

As for releasing it as bonus material for the No Code / Yield reissues, idk. As amazing as it was, it wasn't without flubs/struggles, especially Mankind and Around The Bend.

What's the Half Full - Red Mosquito connection?

Didn't they play Avocado in sequence at one of the Italy 2006 shows?
Yep. Sept 19, 2006
Love that show.

With as many shows as they have played and pushing 50 it's no wonder Ed forgets some things. Hell, I struggle to remember what I had for breakfast yesterday and he has 15 years and lots of alcohol on me.

Nonetheless I dig playing an album in sequence now and again. PLEASE do this with Yield one day.

What's the Half Full - Red Mosquito connection?
built around heavy, blues-y riffs. im not sure if he uses a slide on half full, but he does on RM

Really? Wow. That is embarrassing. I was worried the crowd would be like that in Lincoln but where I was sitting the fans were on ever song and knew most. I never understand going to a show and just wanting to hear a couple songs. I try and not go to a show unless I know most of the material if not all of it. But hey I'm a cheap bastard and don't like to throw money away.

I'm buying this boot. Take my money, guys.

I'm not sure if you can publicly link a dropbox vid, but

in case anyone wants to see a crappy vid of Eddie during Porch when he walked around to the back of GA.

*Edit: evidently the link doesn't work.

Agreed. I love Black, Alive and Corduroy as much as anyone but if all you want to hear is a couple songs stay at home and hit repeat on your stereo. :shake:
