I don't remember if I ever listened to all of Higher Truth. I definitely haven't listened to any of it since it dropped. I should throw that on today.

But after EM, the first two Audioslave records are the Cornell albums I listen to the most. I like those more than any single Soundgarden record, for example. I know I'm in the minority there. But I love Audioslave.
Audioslave was good! Not great, but good! I enjoyed all their records especially the first and third one! His solo career is all kinds of mehhhh. EM is a masterpiece and also his last masterpiece. Carry On has a couple of good songs. Scream is very flawed and not a succesfull experiment, but that's mostly Timbalands fault. Chris wrote some fine songs for 'Scream'. Higher Truth has some good songs, but like Carry on falls a bit flat at times. I also really don't like his post 2009 vocalstyle. He lost all the small nuances that made him once the GOAT. Even in the quiet songs it sounds like he's screaming.

Overall his pre-2000 output is far far far superior to his post-2000 output. So, his Susan Silver era >>> Vicky era.... ;)
There is definitely something off about the way he sang later in his career. I don't know enough about singing to really nail it down, but it seemed like he struggled to transition between different notes which led to a lot of words being stretched and pauses where they hadn't previously been.

solo show in amsterdam i think. chris cornell's eldest asked him to play it, and i think it was her bday. the string quartet played the music.

Seriously. Not sure why everyone is treating this recording as some kind of hidden secret.

Putting Chris Cornell lyrics alongside John Lennon ones is a bit much. Some of this stuff that's been released after his death is just cringe-inducing.

I REALLY liked that. Even tho his smoker’s voice could only hit one or two of those “behind”s.

i dunno if its b/c its not supposed to be shared or people just dont care. the singles soundtrack was a big deal to me when i was young, and 'seasons' is definitely a song that has lasted the test of time. hearing eddie vedder singing it was important to me.

Speaking in a new interview, Vicky revealed that they still have a lot of music in the vault and are planning on releasing a second volume for ‘No One Sings Like You Anymore’. “There is a volume two,” Vicky told The Rizzuto Show. “The thing with this volume one, though, that makes it special is that he mastered it, he sequenced it — this is all Chris from beginning to end. And the other one was mastered, not sequenced, volume two. “Because he was just such a prolific writer, we’re blessed, because he has left us lots of music. Not in completely finished form, but there’s enough to work with, and the Cornell stamp is all over it. So that’s really special. So there’s a lot of music.”

The record was mastered but not yet sequenced?

That doesn't even make sense.

Sad, the whole thing.

I picture her eyes turning in to giant money $ymbols each time she mentions the work music.
