But I don't really remember either very strongly. It's been years since I've seen those films, much longer for EH.

At the time, I came away thinking it was the worst budgeted sci-fi film I'd ever seen. I was angry. I had a headache. And I felt awful. That movie made me physically ill. The acting alone is abominable. Made me want to punch a wall any time an actor opened their mouth in that movie.

Having said that, I haven't seen the movie since. Maybe it would be valuable to revisit the thing. I don't know.

The first time I saw it years ago, I didn't like it either. I thought it was empty, derivative sci-fi. But I rewatched it earlier this year and instantly fell in love. It's gory, crazy as hell, atmospheric, unsettling, efficient, and full of visual creativity. You should give it a second look.

The only thing unsettling about it was the acting. And Gory is rarely a positive in my book. But, yeah, I'll give it another go one of these days.

Haha I think you might remember the acting being worse than it actually is. The movie actually has a pretty good cast.

Are you not a horror fan? If not, that might play a role in our disagreement. I'm all about dat gory horror, and this is basically Hellraiser in space. I love Hellraiser and I love space movies, so of course I love Event Horizon.
