Have you seen Mangum live?
Nope, only on tv. Tom Selleck rules.

Beyond excited about this. I had tickets to see Mangum in Toronto a couple of years ago, but had to give them up at the last second. If this tour comes anywhere near southern Ontario, I'll be there come hell or high water.

They're playing Denver, baby! Author of my 2nd favorite record ever. Saw him play a year or 2 ago on his solo tour and he was fantastic. His voice and guitar completely commanded the room.

I thank ol' Len for introducing me to these guys. I love this album. I haven't listened to anything else yet, but right now it just seems perfect only lisetning to this.

Honestly, unless you're going to see them live just keep listening to Aeroplane. It's heads and shoulders above his other stuff (and pretty much everything else, ever). That's not a knock on his earlier releases either. He reached a stratosphere that very few recording artists ever get to with Aeroplane.
Hyperbole?

I'm seeing them in March. I fully expect them to tell wild and terrible stories about Alex in between songs.

Indeed.
I will never admit how long it took me to not call him Jeff Magnum. Because he's so very, very close to being a Jeff Magnum, is all.

If one song could sell me a trip through one of their albums, which one would it be?

Terrible doesn't have to mean bad, friend.

Get on the Aeroplane. No question. Don't even book any flights on any of their other stuff until you've internalized this one.
