If Sharpe wasn't struck by tragedy, I think he's a front runner for greatest of all time on everyone's list. Packer or not, the guy was just as or more dominant than Megatron in his first 7 years in the league, and then he gets Brett Favre for the next 10 years? Crazy.

it's weird to say, but i think sharpe being forced to retire helped favre's evolution in the long run. brett would just lock onto sharpe in those early years, but eventually, became one of the best at spreading the ball around.

The NFC north sure has produced some great wideouts.

Go bears :(

in my mind there is absolutely no doubt it isnt rand moss.

megatron could be argued but until he gets a qb who can consistently use him he's not part of the conversation.

you look at what moss did with average qbs then when he and brady go together. could you imagine the stats he would have put up if he had a legit qb for his whole career?

I think it could be argued that Johnson is already in the top 5, so 3 more years and I think he's for sure in this conversation.

--Fastest to 10,000 receiving yards
--Most receiving yards in a single season
--Only player in NFL history with 5,000+ receiving yards in a 3-year period
--16.2 yards per catch

I was kinda surprised he doesn't have more TDs, however.

This stat line for Don Hutson's 1942 season is insane.

74 receptions | 1,211 yards | 17 TDs | 16.4 per catch avg.

Also, "Hutson still holds the highest career average TDs per game (0.85) for a receiver."

I realize you can't just throw to the same guy every time no matter how good he is, but when I'm watching a Lions game and they're in the red zone I always feel a little surprised when he throws to anyone else.

As a guy who has had Megatron 4 years running: just throw it to him everytime no matter what!

The other day Magic Johnson called in to wish Greenberg a happy birthday. Of course CC found a way to say that because he is a HOFer is the only reason Magic called in.

TO deserves at least a mention. 9 1,000 yard seasons. 153 TDs. Remarkably consistent and durable.
