I don't get this Moses movie. The trailer is what I assume is the movie's climax, and its still looks boring and stupid. whats the story there? God shows up and kills everybody he doesn't like. Why am I watching this?

I think the bigger problem is that it's 2014 and Hollywood still finds it acceptable to cast white people as Egyptians.

Marco Ferreri is so under-appreciated.

I really love the Barnes & Noble Criterion sale; it's like Christmas morning. Picked up the Blu-rays of
Macbeth, The Shooting/Ride in the Whirlwind, and
La dolce vita today.

But it's Barnes & Noble. So even "on sale" they're like $40 a pop.
If you like their sale you should check out this new site called Amazon. You might really dig what they're doing.

Actually, they're B&N 50% sale is the cheapest way to buy Criterions. I never buy them any other way. The normal MSRP of a Criterion Blu is $39.99. So the 50% brings them down to $19.99 each (much cheaper than the going rate on Amazon or elsewhere). Then add my 10% member discount, they go down to $17.99 each. Plus the $5 off $50 coupon I had...yeah.

It's really damn good, that's for sure. Leagues better than anything QT has made since.

I recently downloaded Dumb and Dumber and apparently I made the mistake of downloading some sort of extended version. It was horrible. It totally changed the tone of the movie for the worse.
I deleted it and hope to forget it as soon as possible.

You just earned a bunch of cool points with me.
Yes, that extended version is horrible and totally changes the innocent, naive tone of the movie, which is crucial to why I love it.

I was just clowning, dawg. But I will say I've never paid more than $17.99 EVER for Criterions.

I only ever bought the one: Pierrot le fou, and only that because I heard they were going to stop printing it (and they did). I only have it on DVD, though, not Blu-Ray.
