Stripe’s lyrics have always been somewhat cryptic, and the band has largely eschewed easy hooks in favor of material that demands repeat listens to appreciate. Perfectly rated!
They remind me of Barry Sanders, kinda retiring way too early, but still good for them. Well said, Trag.
i think they retired at a perfect time and wish U2 followed their lead

I am going to be meeting U2 before and after one of their Sphere Vegas concerts in December and will tell Bono that for you.

Thirty years ago, a brand new band called Harvey Milk took the stage at the illustrious 40 Watt Club in their hometown of Athens on April Fool's Day and performed the entirety of REM's album "Reckoning." There were a few recordings made, but only one survived. It was the audio from famed filmmaker Lance Bangs. Jump ahead to earlier this year, when the Harvey Milk bass player (Stephen Tanner to those taking notes) was at Chunklet HQ, we all began laughing about that performance and well, here we are. An edition of 400 copies and I suspect that'll be it. Each copy has a hand applied dayglo orange sticker on both the front and back.

I really had to hold my nose and order this one (Chonklet dude is a jayke off). I've been dying to hear this set for like 15 years now.

Reveal is better than i thought when it came out. I think it failed to get my attention back then, im not sure why, maybe it was the singles?

I think Reveal is good. Not one of their best works but good. I've only heard one live show from that tour/era but I thought the reveal songs sounded better in a live setting.

yeah, i think that was the case with Reveal and Around The Sun...they do changed that with Accelerate, were the album was kinda made with a live setting in mind.

I think I reach for reveal as much as I reach for hi fi which is vastly superior

I agree that up sounds better. Reveal is worth spending time with. I'd say a step below Up.

Yeah, Up is better. Its more challenging too. Reveal is not a personal favorite.
