He loves his women like I love my 80s music: weirdly and without much reason.

When I was a young child, maybe 5 or 6, I watched a weird Superman movie with my grandfather. It was a really silly movie where Superman fought a horrifying monster who would jump out of closets or something? I remember thinking it was weird that Superman never got into his costume or use his powers. Anyway, my vague recollection of that movie came to me at a get-together last night; I asked "hey does anyone remember that weird low-budget Superman movie where he doesn't wear his suit or use his powers and he fights a closet monster?". Nobody knew what I was talking about. So I did some googling and found that it's a Troma film from 1986 called Monster in the Closet. Turns out it wasn't a Superman movie at all! My grandfather probably just pointed at the vaguely Clark Kent-ish lead character and said "look, that's Superman" to keep me interested in this wacky gay allegory horror/comedy. What an asshole

I believe he couldn't gain access to his costume in the closet, due to the monster.

This is an amazing story. I wish we had more stories like these being posted. I'm sure others disagree. This seems like the kind of thing you would accuse me of making up or something that Burt would yell at me for posting. But I think it's completely charming, whimsical and hilarious all at the same time. I might steal this story and pretend it happened to me because I like it so much.

Literally the second thing Michael Keaton's Batman does on screen is fall on his ass. Really undercuts the dark, menacing vibe they were going for.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
