I'm with you, man. I love Audioslave. I listen to them far more than Soundgarden. I think Out of Exile is a great record, too. It has my personal favorite Audioslave song on it. I don't think it's a weak link at all.

They really did something special with Audioslave. I saw Soundgarden in 1996 and Audioslave on their first tour and Audioslave was definitely the better show.

yeah Audioslave was incredible. Their debut has to be one of bests from all times. Its just fucking amazing.
Soundgarden is a different beast. I cant compare them, thats the common mistake.

Listening to Higher Truth for the first time since forever.

Nearly Forget is a great song. Dead Wishes too.

There is some good writing in here. I dont like the production mostly, the grandiose sounding of choices. But Cornell sounds so fucking good, and there are some strong songs here.

Trough The Window, Josephine, Circling are very cool.

Bend In The Road is a good example of what i dont like about this album. Mostly the clean 70s sounding production. If i want Cornell with a piano, i would chose When Im Down, not this one at all.

Misery Chain is great. But the latter part of the album besides Circling is a drag, its BOB making the worst clean, AOR choices.

I love Worried Moon. So sad.

Yeah i'm with you on that...gave it a second listen but it does nothing for me. And i typically like his covers....loved that Nothing Compares 2 U cover.

I've always had a really soft spot for his cover of Thank You. It really is a beautiful rendition, particularly the earlier live recordings of it circa late Audioslave days. On the other hand, if I never hear his cover (or any cover) of Imagine again, it'll be too soon.
