Interesting that he wasn't under contract. Or that they're allowing him to break his contract. Pre-production is already well under way. They might even be shooting already.

The Post reported that he (Charlie) didn't like the direction the show was going, that he had "creative differences" with Lena. The Post is also a rag mag that will say/do whatever to sell papers. Hardly trust worthy though they are a "major" NY news outlet.

If they haven't started filming the first episode yet, I hope they kill him off screen. I hope the first scene of S3 is his wake. That way if his career doesn't explode like he probably thinks it will, he can't come crawling back. Or he can come back as a different character, which he said he wishes he could do.

But seriously, I wish the guy well.

I just read this post and thought I'd bring it to this thread for discussion.

Of course there's a lot of hypersensitivity and taking things out of context, but she doesn't come off great from those examples.

That was a very long post sorry...

I dont think she is racist at all. But whatever..she is what 24 years old? we all have a little racism in ourselves anyway.

No. She's an honest and open young person speaking frankly about her experiences. I read the first four or five bullet points in that post and laughed so hard that I stopped reading. Absurd.

The Donald Glover "example" is the most powerful example of the post writer's ignorance.

Here's the follow-up post on Donald Glover, btw.

Lena does come off as kind of oblivious, especially her writing about her travels to Japan and India, but not mean-spirited.

I don't know how I feel about Lena Dunham. Being a country boy from the Midwest, I'm tired of big city 20 somethings being the voices of my generation. Oh well, I still have guys like Jeff Nichols.

And she's 27 now.

I agree. I know some of that is shtick. But I'd also like to see the original sources on some of that, too.
