This is my fav part of this song.

The intro is pretty darn good also

“Start the rebuttal
All part of the game
Yes, what makes us different
And what makes us the same
All the incandescence that is your essence
The unexpected embrace, embrace the unexpected
There's no book on this life, there's no use as directed
The best part I know was when we were connected”

I think this is my favorite song to sing along to on the record which I did not expect when I first heard it.

Love it. Prob tied with the second half of the first verse for my favorite:

Don't let the sky hook
Beat you to submission
Maybe it's the price of, price of our admission
Aint no fuckin roses, to our condition
Turn this anger into nuclear fission yeah baby, baby

When stone mentioned in one of the pre album interviews that ed was "rapping" in R/R, I was really intrigued. Though this track did not hit with me in the beginning, it became a massive grower.

I had a pretty close view of Matt in Baltimore, and this song looked like quite the workout. I wonder what his heart rate got up to?

I really like this song, but I don't know that I have a favorite part of it. Maybe the palm muted elements.

This and Running are songs that are best recognized not by saying, "This song is great" but rather "This song is fucking cool."

That's... weird.

I mean, this reads like all of the songs you like, you like because of one aspect, and this one is unique that way. Like, all are of your favorite songs your favorite because of one individual element?

Not necessarily, but there is often a favorite moment

I think? Should I inventory them all in a thread, one post at a time?

And invite others to do the same?

Not a fan of this stinker or this style of PJ music, but across the shows I saw this month ReRe had the most consistently positive response from the crowd. More so than DM, Stevie, or Won't Tell. Could have been early placement in setlist though.

Banger and was well received by the crowds at the shows.
Placement in the setlist near Running was nice and then the band, and matt got a break with Wreckage.

Stinker, really? I think it's the best on the album and one of the best songs from the last 4 albums. I don't think it's even that familiar for them. I mean it's not out of their wheelhouse, but it's more like Dead Kennedys (PJ covered Bleed For Me) meets the Talking Heads (DOTC sounds a little like them too). Combining the two like we hear in React/Respond hadn't really happened for them till now. Again, it's in their wheelhouse, it's kinda familiar, but I don't think there is anything quite like this (other than the Bleed For Me cover.)

My favorite part of the song is Matt frantically playing the high-hat. That is what I was eyeing in on live and that looked very hard to keep up with.
