I was apeshit gaga for their first LP last year and their second is no slouch either. Top 5 material here.

i was a big fan of the North Mississippi All Star's 2013 album 'World Boogie is Coming' - I like boogie and blues, it's true.
Luther Dickinson's 'Rock'n'Roll Blues' is a more stripped back listen, less big band and more solo plus friends, but enjoyable. The first song is a cracker in particular:

I tend to avoid "blues rock" at all costs, but sometimes you'll come across something that just nails it without the banality and vanilla. I was stoked to read Mount Carmel have a new one out. Haven't heard much, but if its anything like their second record, this one should be a no-brainer. I got to see them with Endless Boogie a few summers ago, it was as close to a perfect billing as you could imagine.

Yep, 'blues rock' is certainly a genre that you need to be wary of. But like anything, the good stuff can be really really good.
You know I'm an Endless Boogie fan, and that Mount Carmel song was great. Once again snc introduces me to the good shit. Keep it coming my man.
<edit> and I am v. jealous of you seeing Endless Boogie. They are right up there on my "Want" list.

Really enjoying this album. I love the Ian Curtis thing the lead singer has going on.

Big on lyrics here, but The Burning Hell's album "People" is not bad at all if you have the space to give it a dedicated listen.
Here's 'Amateur Rappers' - well worth a check out.
