Damn, just watched the Red Sparrow trailer and that does look awesome.
I am so happy Francis Lawrence is doing something interesting. He is maybe one of the best stylists around these days, but he has been tied up in shitty material for years.
I know boring about Francis Lawrence. But the cast alone has me interested in Red Sparrow.

The Criterion sale is going on right now. I'm thinking of grabbing Lord of the Flies, Time Bandits, Watership Down, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, and Stalker.

Film directors should definitely have input on the sequels to novels that their forthcoming hit films are based on.
