If anyone can tell me what distinguishes even of of his performances from another in any of the action movie conveyer belt/ cookie cutter roles he’s appeared in in the last 15 years I’m all ears.

Edge of Tomorrow and American Made were fantastic movies and awesome performances. Tom Cruise is nuts but goddamn he absolutely has charisma.

I certainly don't go out of my way for a Tom Cruise joint. But I don't run from them either. And usually, when I do watch one, I have a great time at the very least. Though, I would like to see him mix things up a bit more and take some risks. Tackle a project that's way outside his comfort zone and stretch a bit.

That’s just it. It’s the same role in the same type of film for how long now?

He was great in Valkyrie and that was as different from his usual that I can remember.
