Primarily it might look that way. It’s an adaptable tool for left and right when it suits them

Even though I only saw it once years ago, I think about the scene in Take the Money and Run where Woody Allen plays cello in a marching band...like, all the time. It's probably the single funniest sight gag I've ever seen.

The older I get and the more movie opinions I read, the more Vincent Gallo’s approach of making movies and never releasing them makes sense to me. Why bother with the public? 99% of people don’t watch movies in a way that is engaged, thoughtful, imaginative, or exploratory. They don’t think about their own feelings or opinions. What’s the point of giving personal art that you’ve labored over to those idiots?

I agree with you with people dont really caring about forms of art. But for me, you need to release it in some form. Its a way to close the whole process of doing it and move on.

But is releasing art necessary for that closure, really? Depends what you’re doing it for, I suppose. But I think there are plenty of artists who don’t need a public reception for that closure.

Yeah, it depends on the project and the artist for sure. I think its a good thing to release it.
