I like these guys a lot. I only have two albums, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, and Gimme Fiction. What should I get next?
I'd say Kill the Moonlight, but don't expect it to sound like those two. It's stripped down to the bare essentials but still rockin'.darth_vedder wrote:I like these guys a lot. I only have two albums, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, and Gimme Fiction. What should I get next?
Cool, I'm gonna revisit these guys today / tomorrow, and maybe I'll get KTM this weekend.evenslow wrote:I'd say Kill the Moonlight, but don't expect it to sound like those two. Kill the Moonlight is a good choice. I prefer Girls Can Tell but they're both brilliant. Don't forget the "The Agony of Laffitte" and "Laffite Don't Fail Me Now" split single, maybe the best thing they ever recorded.darth_vedder wrote:I like these guys a lot. this same thing happened to me at one of the National shows and a Decemberists show at the Chicago Theater. I will never sit front row there again.evenslow wrote:Fuck yes. Saw these dudes on the last tour and it was the only time in my life I had front row center. Thing is, it totally sucked b/c I was directly in front of the guitar speaker and consequently that's all I could hear for the entire show.Scored the setlist though.
dig it. these guys are one of the most consistent bands for meStrat wrote:New single is - interesting?

I'm all about it. Love when a band that's been around a long time puts out a first single that makes me say what the fuck.bodysnatcher wrote:dig it. these guys are one of the most consistent bands for meStrat wrote:New single is - interesting?
Pearl Jam does this for me, but it's usually followed with "Not again!"evenslow wrote:I'm all about it.
