Yeah that’s not a great one either

The new season has an episode where Hank visits Lady Bird's grave, and it may just be that I am going through the one-two punch of a recent loss + a sick pet but it made me tear up

That one hit pretty close to home for me too. There are a couple of dogs here locally Mrs Wease has been wanting us to take in. They’re both older dogs and I guess she just doesn’t understand how hard the last two we lost hit me. Totally relate to Hank’s reservations. Plus, we still have two dogs.

Cesar Salad was a classic king of the hill trope: Hank coming around to appreciate something different from his preconceived idea of what it means to be a dog

Just finished the episode with
Spoiler: show
the marriage retreat. The part featuring Hank’s views on religion were great but the whole plot with Nancy and Dale had already been done. Right down to John Redcorn shedding a tear when Nancy ended it. Disappointed they rehashed an old idea like that.

I think this season was stronger than the last. But the revival as a whole has been a blast out of the park. Definitely feels like a natural continuation of the original series. Glad to see we have at least two more seasons coming.
