Burt, do you legitimately dislike all the SW movies? Even the OT?

After all the destruction they've caused to subsequent generations?!

I dunno... Favorites off the top of my head.

Blade runner
Alien
Fifth Element
Edge of Tomorrow
Robocop

I feel like I'm forgetting something. I'm not married to anything, though.

Obviously, I adore Star Wars. But I definitely remember thinking that The Fifth Element had the potential to be the "next generation's" Star Wars franchise. Then they didn't make any more of them. But I goddamn LOVE The Fifth Element.

They played the commercial for the 20th anniversary release before GotG2 but when I went to the page there isn't a theater showing it within 30 miles of me. That's a bit much, especially since it's all in Oregon and traffic.

The commercial also kind of made the image look like a DVD being played on the big screen. Washed out and kind of jaggy, like a QT video from the early 00's.

I genuinely love this movie. Luc Besson somehow hit magic when he made this and Leon. Because most of his movies are below par. It was the first movie I saw in the cinema at the camp after I joined the military back in 1997. Difficult to describe, but I got a really special feeling from it at the time, probably due to being in a new situation and environment.Still, at any time I've seen it, it's been a good experience. Don't think Besson could have caught lightning in a bottle with a sequel, so glad we have what we got.

This was a lot of fun. A full house and everyone still enjoyed and appreciated a lot of the humor. I'm really glad I took the time out today to see it in the theaters again.

I had a similar experience. I was going through my intelligence schooling and we got to leave base for the weekend so I saw this in the theaters

That is very similar. Probably not a coincidence that it left a lasting memory with both of us.
