I think so. I haven't seen it in a long time but I still remember it fondly.

I'm not a fan but it does have the Rourke and Rockwell factor working in its favor

I love Natalie Wood, but she's really terrible in West Side Story.

Still the only film I have seen in the MCU.

I stopped watching after Age of Ultron. Since then, the only two I’ve seen are GOTG 2 and Ragnarok.

Not weird at all. I mean, think about it: It's the one that started it all. There was no "marvel formula" and it was the very thing you said you wish for: a wild, balls-to-the-wall swing from the filmmakers. There was nothing like it previously. Every time Kevin Smith talks about it, he says it's a perfect film from a storytelling
and film-making perspective.

Living in a Spanish-speaking country, pretty much every screening I go to is subtitled. I've gotten pretty good at blocking them out but sometimes my eyes gravitate towards them and I'm shocked by how bad some of the translations are.

For example, I noticed this one when I saw Endgame: someone says "you take this and you put this on. You hide." The Spanish subtitle was "Take this and put it in your hiding place."
A line in Us about the song "I Got 5 On It", the dad character says "It's not about drugs! It's a dope song." The Spanish subtitle said "It's not about drugs! It's about drugs."

thought: A movie can inspire someone to heroism, but it can also give the viewer the false experience of being the hero without them doing anything heroic (or risky). That way he can remain in his safe, cow-like existence while still getting the experience of fighting evil.
Is this bad art or does the fault lie with the viewer?

Beautiful Boy has some really trite scenes that make me cringe.
Steve Carell could have been so great if it were an honest look at addiction.
