I'm a die-hard and I absolutely adore it. But LV is also a die-hard and he hated it. So, like anything else, there are people in both camps. I think in general it was well received overall.

The new Star Trek movies are fucking terrible.

Anyone who thinks the new movies are "good" is NOT a long-time Trek fan.
Or they are so hopped up on the current Geek Sheep culture that they are not to be trusted.

OK. Pine is good in the role, but it isn't the right role.
Kirk is the fulcrum on which the science and logic and base instincts rest.
Not the funnel in which everything mindless runs through.

I agree he's very good but he really could be a bit more choosey about his material
Meh. As someone who works in the entertainment industry and never knows for sure where his next paycheck is coming from, I say go get it. Do ALL the work. I don't have a problem with people working. Especially if they're talented and (by all accounts) nice.
