Damn, you snooze, you lose. I was totally gonna get Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam. Love that number.

Thinking of something now, I'm pretty tapped out. I don't know what else to pick by these guys.

I kinda like my team but I'm also expecting to lose.

I also wanted Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam.

So I can pick now, yeah? That's the general way, if you are skipped, just pick when you are ready, yeah? I don't think I made a specific rule for that, but I know other tournaments have done it.

Anyway, I pick "Pay To Play".

It's basically an alternate "Stay Away", and since no one picked that, and it's on Nevermind, I feel like it's up for grabs, so I'm taking it.

Then I take it those teams that haven't picked a Nevermind track yet can still consider Stay Away?

Updated page 1.

For tonight, I have a concert to attend by some hippy band Kurt would hate called Widespread Panic. With that in mind, can you guys run things? dct, I can PM you my picks if need be.

Also, dct, want to say thanks again for taking over and running things and helping out. Also, thanks to v_t_t for helping too.

I think??? Shit, I don't know? I'm new at this. Next time, I'll leave the tournaments to the pros, I'm not management material.

I'll chop Pay To Play though if need be. It's the same song with different lyrics and a different title. I guess, it's not really a Nevermind song, so I'm in the clear, but being so similar, I'm not sure how we treat it. I'm open to suggestions on this one.

Since there are technically 13 songs on Nevermind, everyone should get a song even if we ax Stay Away. BUT I'm fine calling them two different songs. So, I'm all for leaving Stay Away on the table. I'm not gonna get mad at anybody who takes it. But if everyone else things it's off the table, it still won't be a problem. With 13 tracks everyone gets one even without Stay Away.

I don't know one could argue that Pay To Play is the Stay Away demo. I wouldn't think it would be a fair pick but I'm not looking to be the sole arbiter of everyone's fun. Group should decide.

After 5pm EST I'm not going to be near a computer. So if you want to PM me your picks I'll take care of it until that point. Then I'll probably try to hand off to someone else. And I won't look at this thing until around this time tomorrow.

I'm so happy to help you out man. Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this bad boy. This has been a ton of fun. :luv:

I'm down with that.

Or maybe we should just say Stay Away is off the table now. And if someone really wants it they can state their case and we can decide.

Hmmmm...

I would have picked Pay To Play by now if I thought I could have...

Oh well. This is why I wanted less rules...

Still, this has been fun, and I don't really care who takes what...

I think I'm all tapped out of legitimate picks now, though.

That's actually a fair point.

People might have taken it a while back but didn't because they already had their one Nevermind song. I hadn't really considered that.

And I don't think there are too many rules. I kinda like having some limitations on what to take. It makes it more fun and challenging AND keeps someone from taking all of In Utero.

There have been 3 Nevermind tracks left for a good while now. I "stayed away" from picking mine the last 3 rounds, basically because I wanted some outtakes, demos, incesticide tracks etc., and also I'd be happy with just about anything off Nevermind.

So Stay Away is off the table? That doesn't seem right to me, but I'll go with whatever because this has been fun pouring through the catalog and I'm not looking to be a dick.

It's ok, though. I've had fun with this and don't really care who wins. I fully plan on playing everyone's lists head-to-head in the first round as a sort of grand finale before voting.

Looks like my last picks may end up being 'Jam' and 'That Other Jam' :|
