It's Hannah's story. You're going to see more of her than anyone else. It makes perfect sense. There's no gap in logic there. I'm sure there's also a real-life component, as well. By which I mean, the others may not be as comfortable being nude on camera. However, all the other characters (except maybe Ray, I can't remember right now) have been damn near, or completely, nude at one time or another.
People only remember/talk about/overreact to Hannah because they perceive this sort of affront to your comfort levels. I absolutely 100% guarantee you that if Alison Williams was playing Hannah and doing every scene just as Lena has done them, most people wouldn't have an issue with the nudity. That isn't on Lena, or the show, that's on the viewer.
I firmly believe Lena Dunham isn't making some kind of overt statement. She isn't sitting there thinking, "Ha! This'll show 'em! Look how smart I am! Look at me challenging body politics like a boss!" Others impose all that stuff on her and her show.

Everything about her says she's making a statement about body image. She just lets people come out and make fools of themselves like that guy who wrote that article after asking about it. I don't think she's wrong, I just wish she'd be upfront about it.

Or maybe, just maybe, she isn't. Maybe everything about the world we were raised in and the media makes you think she's making a statement about body image. I really don't think she is. Not overtly. Not intentionally. I mean, that isn't the point. Of course the message is there. We're talking about it. But that's not why she made Girls. And I'd be willing to bet that's not what she wants the show to be know as/remembered for.

Great character but i know what you mean...the scene with her saying "nice" things to Hanna was great.

I loved the first 2 seasons, Lena Dunham is awesome! I found the first 2 episodes of season 3 boring. I'm worried it's not gonna be that good this season.

GREAT episode. The Gawker scene is exactly why I think so highly of Lena Dunham as an artist. Just brilliant.

i watched the last two episodes, after having only seen a smattering of episodes in random order. i'm fully committed to watching this show in its entirety.
