Seeing this today. I look forward to seeing whether Justin is right or wrong about the CGI
What do you base that on? Most authors wouldn't like to see their work butchered.BurtReynolds wrote:I think the son is a little stuck up his own ass, to be honest. I don't think JRR was as worried about what others did with it.
I would again encourage anyone who feels that Jackson et all is butchering the source material to actually reread the hobbitAnders wrote:What do you base that on? I had high hopes after the first one being so bad, but this was an hour and a half too long. The only thing it really told me was that the dwarves want the Arkenstone and some elves are dicks.
To me it felt like from the beginning of the movie through to when they reached Laketown took forever and really didn't establish much then all of the sudden we're in the middle of the dragon's lair.Mecca wrote:I really didn't think that this felt like it was too long or even its actual length.E.H. It was like watching the Phantom Menace for the first time. Not that it was as bad as that movie...it just gave you that same sense of "Is it really possible that the people who made movie series A are the same braintrust who manufactured this lump?"@SkitchP wrote:Boy Howdy the first Hobbit movie was awful. Finally watched it last night.
