Jodie Foster is honestly kind of incredible when you think about the fates of other child stars, who almost all suffered irrelevance, addiction, and/or death as they transitioned into being adults. I was thinking about this the other day.

Snowpiercer annoys me. The ending is all wrong. Instead of finding an old white guy in control of everything, it should have been an empty room. No one at the wheel. Just a machine plodding on with no purpose or goal. That's what our society is.

Been watching some first reaction Shawshank YouTube videos and, while everyone loves it, a couple things stand out. It’s now “really old” and a surprising number of people have no idea who Tim Robbins is.

i have a slight irrational hatred of flashbacks that are really grainy and of a completely different color palette than the present day scenes
