So many rules!!!!!!!!

If I might make a submission, however: vedder316 has held off making a selection from either In Utero or Nevermind until rounds 7 or 8. While myself and bada could potentially pick from our remaining albums (Nevermind and Bleach respectively) with our seventh picks and not be disadvantaged in the eighth 'wildcard' round, vedder316 will inevitably lose one of his album picks through no fault of his own which creates a rather unfair disability to his team.

As such, I don't think we can have a fully open wildcard round unless he specifically gives his OK.

I understand people feeling like we're getting to the bottom of the barrel with Nirvana songs, and we are, but there are still songs to choose from and opening up a wildcard round only really steals one choice from vedder316 and doesn't create any great wealth for the other participants to choose from (ie. at best, one other person gets either a Nevermind or In Utero song they wouldn't have otherwise).

As a compromise, I wouldn't be opposed to having alternate versions be opened up in the 8th round however - for example, Pay to Pay, (New Wave) Polly, Unplugged versions and so on. I still think vedder316 should be consulted, though.

Yes, after a few favorites on Nevermind and in utero were taken, I purposely waited on selecting anything from either, because I was ok with almost any pick from those records. Having to select Tourette's with my 8th pick likely trumps any pick in that round at this point, no?

It's disappointing the rules changed mid stream, but this is a message board tourney of songs with people I don't know, so ultimately I'm fine with whatever. I've had a great time participating and revisiting this wonderful band.

DcT is out until tomorrow afternoon (I have his picks) and Darth is busy with something family related (he may pop in, not sure). So if we want to get moving tonight, we'll have to come to a decision. If it's possible to have a wild card 8th round in a way that doesn't penalize those who have not picked a studio cut, that sounds good to me. If not, I'm happy to take Beans and put a fork in this thing. The picking is the fun part to me, so I don't care if my team kicks someone else's team's ass. Had a blast rediscovering Kurt and co. Are we agreed that the remaining album tracks are still off-limits, however? This will probably decide whether I take my Nevermind pick now or wait until my next turn.

(For example, Stay Away is still only able to be picked by either myself or vedder316 but anyone can choose Pay To Play in round 8.)

For the record I think this wildcard thing doesn't make a lot of sense - so we can just pick any song already taken and put "(live)" or "(demo)" after it?
