There's a great story Larry told on some podcast, about how he and Seinfeld met. Apparently Larry was just beginning to try his hand at standup, but it wasn't going so hot. He met Jerry, and soon after they went to a small dinner party. The conversation turned to their stand-up routines, and Larry happened to have some of his written material with him. Jerry started reading it on a whim, and everyone was laughing. As Larry told it, it was immediately obvious that their two sensibilities would complement each other perfectly.

I really hate how-we-met stories. I find them cloying and annoying.

Just call me, give me early notice, and I'll be there.' I'll move anything to the side for Curb Your Enthusiasm, which would be a fabulous thing to do. Season nine would be fabulous."
