The Batman was mostly boooooring. Too fucking long to show us a clueless Batman.

Agree that it was too long. I almost want to try my hand at cutting together a 140 minute version of it

What's the first element that gets sliced out?

Well the very first thing to go is the stupid Joker scene, but that's only like 3 minutes long. Next that scene where Bruce writes down theories on the floor. I'd try to see if I can somehow untangle and simplify the Falcone/Maroni/Penguin plot just through editing but that might be tricky

i liked the joker scene

To me it adds nothing and gets in the way of an already-too-long conclusion

I need to watch it again though. Now I'm remembering all the things I loved about it

I think it needs some serious cut with the whole Falcone - Riddler - Catwoman thing. The story was not that interesting and Batman failed at getting pretty much everything so it was a drag that it took him so fucking long.

Also, make the ending way more concise and quick. Also give The Penguin way more screen time please.

it doesn't seem to me some of you people understand the movie is basically all about young batman's character arc from angry and vengeful to becoming a more self-less, charitable bat person.. and that's pretty poignant for these times and effective.. plenty of substance and the style fits the story and it's awesome

I just think it could be a little shorter and there are long scenes of characters standing around explaining convoluted plot points to each other

i get that, but that's really more of a preference issue.. i think they did a good job making the movie they wanted to make

of course i get that Tree...its basically Batman year two. We all have seen this in the comics, just handled better.

I agree with Jorge, if they cut a lot of fat out of that movie, it would have been better.

BUT NO, LETS HAVE BATMAN AND GORDON TALK FOR HOURS AND BE WRONG ABOUT EVERYTHING.
