man i love this trilogy so much. I saw Part III in theaters. I was obsessed with the posters, the music. Everything. The three of them are untouchable for me so ranking them doesnt make sense but it would maybe be like:
Back To The Future Part 2
Back To The Future Part 1
Back To The Future Part 3

Part 2 is one of the most disappointing movies of all time.

I'd say Part 1 is the best, but Part 3 is not far behind.
When I was 12, I would have ranked Part 2 first (no offence VinylGuy). That was mainly due to my love of the hoverboard.

As a kid I always liked 3 the best. My friends used to make fun of me about it. I'd have to watch them again to properly rank them.

I might rank part 2 first because of the hoverboard and the shark scene yes.

Part 2 also has that super cool jacket.

Feel like 2023 is turning into a pretty great year for cinema. Have not seen too many movies yet, but judging on reviews and ratings, there seems to be more to choose from, than in recent years.

Interesting. Which of the years in the 2020s do you consider to be the best for movies?

2021 seems to be the least terrible.

Of those I saw Dune, The Power of the Dog, Licorice Pizza and Nightmare Alley. Loved the first three and liked Nightmare Alley.

An Oscar has as much credibility as a J.D. Power award.
A quick Google search tells me 2021 had Suicide Squad, The Green Knight, and Mad God. Those three already make it better than whatever dreck has been shit out this year.

Thought The Suicide Squad was fairly mediocre. Genuinely looking forward to seeing the other two you mentioned.

I’ve seen Coda, Don’t Look Up, Dune, King Richard, The Power Of The Dog and West Side Story. Will see the rest soon.
Dune was my favorite of those I have seen out of those mentioned.

The first from 2016 was abysmal. The second from 2021, was ok.

Ari Aster says: "I was kind of disappointed by the way people were maybe engaging with the film on first release because it was very verdict based like, ‘Well, it doesn’t all work.’ It’s like, ‘Well, wait, what doesn’t work?’”
THE WAY YOU TRIED TO COMPAIN AND WHINE AND ACCUSE AUDIENCES ABOUT HOW THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU AND THAT YOU'RE BETTER THAN THEM AND DESERVE MORE RESPECT IS WHAT DOESN'T WORK, ARI!!!
Or, in other words, your condescension and disregard of your audience is what didn't work, homie.
