Bob Hope was the Ryan Reynolds of the ‘30s/‘40s. He just never stops, ugh.

Watching the credits scroll while finishing a beer today I noticed that Dick Ritchie was the color timer for Beverly Hills Cop which was the name of Michael Rapaport's character in True Romance.

I am developing a problem.
An old booklet for animators on Nausicca, art book for Ghost in the Shell, an original cel from
Vampire Hunter D, and an art book from the guy who made FLCL.
Still can't speak Japanese.

I rewatched Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy the other night, and I noticed something I feel like pointing out. They make a big deal in the documentary about how the big reveal about Vader and Luke was such a huge secret that they inserted a fake page in the script and didn't tell any of the actors what was actually happening, to the point of David Prowse delivering alternate dialogue about Obi-Wan killing Luke's father since not even he knew the real twist at the time.
But...I know this isn't true. Having become a Hammer horror maniac in the last couple years, I have an old fanzine from 1977 or '78 in which David Prowse just straight up tells the interviewer that the next movie is going to reveal that Vader is Luke's father. Knowing this kinda made me second-guess everything I was hearing in the doc afterward.
Also, reading that interview really made me wonder how much of the "bombshell reveal" phenomenon around Empire might be revisionist history.

The Vader/Luke plot line wasn’t in any of the initial plans at all. It wasn’t until Leigh Brackett finished her script that it was introduced. Prowse was known for running his mouth so he may have been just throwing his ideas out there. But the actual dialogue was kept from him out of fear he’d spill the beans to everyone.

I just pulled out the interview. It was from October 1977:
I’d say it would be one hell of an extraordinary coincidence if he were just bullshitting here.

I hadn't seen A Few Good Men in forever but watching it play at the bar the other day I couldn't help but acknowledge how insane the cast is...
Resident Evil movies have always sucked, but this is Mortal Kombat levels of shitty. Unreal.

100% feels an homage to Jason Takes Manhattan.
I will never complain of watching Milla Jovovich btw.

Retribution is awesome. All of the Paul WS Anderson-directed sequels are terrific. It’s okay, though - not everyone is prepared to handle his post-cinema artistry.

They're making a mockery of the Resident Evil film franchise!
