Then create a thread! I just bumped this because it is where the discussion took place before, and seemed better than the "not worthy of a news" thread.

I am pretty sure that's not correct but I do think abortion should purely be a woman's choice. I am not sure if there should be any limits either. I think it's a difficult life situation where we are just best to trust women to do what's best for themselves, shut up and stay out of the way.

Couldn't it be both?

i do know this . . . the majority of people that profess to be "pro-life" couldn't give a shit about the baby after it leaves the womb.

It’s a societal issue if deranged lunatics shoot up clinics or push for death penalties.

The one about a rapist only getting 6-18 months in prison while anyone getting an abortion can be given a life sentence. Or 99 years in prison in Alabama’s case,

That one. That’s the real hum dinger.

I lived only a mile away from the Planned Parenthood that was shot up a few years ago. I used to take my daughter there. It’s a good resource for young people.

I could have easily been grocery shopping or paying my cell phone bills in that center on that day.

Before I moved a few weeks ago, I drove passed it on my way home and the prolifers were out there protesting again.

Lenny aside, Alabama isn’t known for its intellectual pursuits.

Why is that ironic? There is no right to abortion, only a largely held consensus that it shouldn't be illegal in all cases.

No irony in a man worried about men using religion to control women using religion to control women? Your irony meter might need calibration.
