I still can't get myself to listen to this one just yet. It's so beautiful and powerful, but it leaves me feeling sad and even with a bit of dread.

Edit: Listed to this one again. I actually cried. God damn this song.

it has a little Aqueous Transmission in it

This is the one I’ll be playing and singing along to the loudest in the car.

“Am I the only one hanging on?”

No, Eddie; you have lots of good company. :heartbeat:

It's hard for me to pick just one favourite, but Setting Sun is definitely one of them. The others being Won't Tell, WFS, Upper Hand, Scared of Fear.

Can't believe I have 5 songs that I easily give 5 stars to. In an album of 11 songs, that's crazy. And there are a few more that are just a notch below.

Two days in a row I woke up in the morning and this song was in my head…specifically the front half. I’ve seen a number of people who prefer the second half but I just love build up on this one.

Each half is better because of the other.

Even without the second half crescendo (which is spectacular and takes it to another level) this would still probably be my favourite song

That line was definitely sad. It's one of the ones that made me think these songs can't be about Cornell, it just seems too direct and straightforward

Ed is known to write songs from someone else's perspective. It means this doesn't have to be about his own relationship. He wrote Nothingman from the perspective of a guy who messed up a relationship. He wrote Better Man from the perspective of a woman who had settled for a guy who wasn't worth it.

There can be multiple interpretations of lyrics, so whatever one wants to believe is fine.
