saying "i know" is not enough to absolve you from the guilt of holding an objectively incorrect opinion about art

Nothing against it, I liked it ok. But I liked 26 other Brad Pitt movies better. The Argonaut wrote:What do you guys have against Killing Them Softly? It's all the way at the bottom of LV's list, and towards the bottom of ruddo's. I'd put it first. What's the deal?
In the simplest terms, I'd say it's about capitalism and US politics. Which is fine. But it's the way the movie goes about it I hate. I can't stomach watching a guy rob a bunch of criminals playing poker while a TV in the background has Obama giving a speech. Or watching criminals in a car while Obama is on the radio. Or listening to a criminal saying cynical stuff about America being a business so "fuckin' pay me." Ugh. It's like the movie is slapping you in the face with its political commentary during every moment. It totally stops me from becoming involved in anything I'm watching. The Argonaut wrote:What point is it trying to make? Something about capitalism?
what point is godzilla trying to make? and i'm talking specifically about the one with mechagodzilla.LoathedVermin72 wrote:In the simplest terms, I'd say it's about capitalism and US politics.
