Hahaha.

Earlier in the thread I said "Palindromes" was the most infuriating movie I'd seen and you said "interesting". Why is that? Did you like it?
I haven't seen it yet. But I love Todd Solondz, in general. Happiness and Storytelling are brutal, brutal films. But they're amazing to me, too. I've wanted to see Palindromes for a while now. It's always been high on the list. Your description has me wanting to see it even more.

I liked "Happiness" a lot, but "Palindromes" just made me incredibly angry. This is what I wrote the day after seeing it.

My list is 100% correct and I challenge anybody to prove differently. I was listing the movies in the order they came out. I don't know why everybody jumped to the conclusion that I was ranking them.
Because ranking shit is what we do, bub.
It's what we used to do.

Wow.

Wanting to see it a little less now. I thought maybe the film was intentionally frustrating; that it worked on you the way it was meant to. That's what I took from your original post.

Have you seen Storytelling?

Is Storytelling the one with the B&S soundtrack?

The Room used to be my favorite bad movie until about a month ago, until...

Anyone seen Birdemic? It's on Netflix streaming and the funniest movie I have ever seen. Bad doesn't even begin to describe it. The direction, dialogue, acting, and special effects are all atrocious.

Also - well, the movie probably isn't as bad as my overall experience watching it was - but The Thin Red Line comes to mind. I fucking hated that thing. I need to see it again now that I've had some distance and have gained a greater appreciation for Malick's work.

But at the time... on that night... in that theater... with that crowd... I wanted to die.

Like others have said, I feel like "The Room" is the answer to this. But I enjoyed it so much that it's really hard to dismiss it, i.e., I'd never try to convince someone not to watch it.

I started writing a list but decided to delete it, because I don't think it would've done the movie justice. It is a thing to behold.
