I think he was always more of a writer/director than an actor. My impression was always that he took some acting gigs to make money for his indie movies.

Today I watched about a dozen hours of Spiderverse making of videos and interviews, and it's insane how it's made. Truly game-changing.

The look of many modern TV series and movies has started to bother me more and more. I can't really explain what it is, but I started to watch For All Mankind the other day and had to stop after 10 minutes because it looks so slick, plastic and clean which really breaks the immersion for me. I got the same feeling from the trailer of A Complete Unknown. Somehow they both just look too perfect, like a costume play in a fake prop.

Edit: I just realized that the look I hate is the visual equivalent of how Dark Matter and Earthling sound.
