I haven't watched it in years, but The Blues Brothers movie and soundtrack was huge in my family growing up. A very formative movie for me.

I actually watched The Blues Brothers for the first time last year and really loved it.

I think it’s both sublime wit and incredibly generous toward Christianity that the central musical motif of True Grit is “Leaning On the Everlasting Arms” given what happens to Mattie Ross in the end.

Anyway, my favorite movie character at this stage in my life is Tommy Lee Jones’s character in No Country For Old Men. Sorry for the double Coen post.
