Remember the first time you saw The Matrix? That Wake Up drop was quite the rush. I was so mad at the Wachowskis when Revolutions didn’t end with a Rage song.

Because it's a sleeper powerhouse, and unlike most other songs in their catalog: The shuffling drumbeat, the hazy guitar, the chorus that is just a repeated "Yeah!" with some spoken words buried in the background, and the drunken comedown at the end.
It does everything differently than most other RATM songs, and yet it still fits comfortably within the rest of their work. It manages to deliver a unique vibe whenever it comes up on a RATM playlist. Some dude on another board I posted at in the 2000’s did a ranking of every RATM song with extremely detailed reviews and his number 1 was Snakecharmer.
It’s a great song, it just can’t duke it out with Wake Up though.
