I just listened to the new Offspring song, released today:

It is, partly because it seems like a conscious rewrite of "All the Small Things," and because it was made by a group of 60 year old men instead of a bunch of 20-somethings. Also it sounds like ass

That said, it sounds like Offspring hocking Weezer more than anything.

The rapper Necro released a metal song this year and it’s legit the worst metal song I’ve ever heard. It’s pretty shocking honestly, I don’t know how an established artist was okay releasing this.

I really enjoyed the 2012 Offspring album Days Go By. I absolutely hated the 2021 album Let the Bad Times Roll. This song is totally fine. It would fit perfectly on an American Pie soundtrack.

I listened to the new Bon Jovi album today. Most of the songs seemed like the kind of music you hear in a fixer upper show on HGTV when the family gets a fresh start in their updated home. It’s the best Jon can do now. I’m not mad at him for doing it.

These new offerings, along with stuff like that Motley Crue single, really highlight how fucking great Dark Matter actually is from a group so long in the tooth.

It's been a bummer to see how Camila Cabello's career has been playing out. I really liked "Havana" back in the day but nothing else has been good
